Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026 · ADA-Comply is a product of Twisselmann & Monka Technologies, LLC ("we," "us").
This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the ADA-Comply platform at app.ada-comply.com, our website at ada-comply.com, and the ADA-Comply add-on for Google Workspace (the "Services").
Information we collect
- Account information. Name, work email address, district or organization name, and password (stored as a salted hash — we never store plain-text passwords).
- Content you submit for scanning. Website URLs you ask us to scan, and documents you upload or send from the Google Workspace add-on's "Full scan" feature. Documents are processed to produce accessibility findings and reports; source files sent from the add-on are analyzed and then discarded.
- Scan results and reports. Accessibility findings, remediation status, and generated Compliance Action Plan reports, stored so your organization can track its work.
- Add-on check summaries. When the add-on is connected with a district key, it reports the document name, editor type, and counts of issues found. "Quick check" does not transmit document content; content is transmitted only when you explicitly choose "Full scan."
- Usage and log data. Standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used for security and operations.
How we use information
- To provide the Services: run scans, display findings, and generate reports for your organization.
- To operate accounts, authenticate users, and enforce organization-level access controls.
- To send transactional email (account confirmation, activation, notifications).
- To secure, maintain, and improve the Services.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your scanned content or documents to train machine-learning models.
Google Workspace data
The ADA-Comply add-on requests the minimum Google permissions needed to function: access to the file currently open in Google Docs, Slides, or Sheets; read-only export of that file when you explicitly request a Full scan; the ability to display a sidebar; and the ability to contact our API. The add-on does not browse or index your Google Drive. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Students and children
The Services are business tools intended for use by school district staff and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from students or children under 13.
How information is shared
- Within your organization. Findings, reports, and add-on check summaries are visible to authorized users of your organization's account.
- Service providers. We use vetted infrastructure providers to host and operate the Services (cloud hosting, database, file storage, email delivery), bound to process data only on our behalf.
- Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account data and scan results while your organization's account is active. When an account is closed, data is retained for a reasonable wind-down period and then deleted from active systems. You may request deletion of your organization's data at any time by contacting us.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted credential storage, per-organization data isolation, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
You can access and update account information in the app, disconnect the Google Workspace add-on at any time via your Google account permissions, and contact us to exercise applicable privacy rights, including rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
